Last Wednesday morning, I attended the launch of the Content Revolution Tour in Boston. Listening to C.C. Chapman, co-author of Content Rules, and Becki Dilworth, Vice President of Digital Strategy at Bridgeline Digital, the message was loud and clear:
Social media is here to stay and that means we are on the threshold of an entirely new era in content marketing.
Check out the statistics in this short video from Davanti Digital Media (below). You’ll hear that:
- 75 percent of U.S. households now use social media to listen, talk and recommend products.
- In 2010, 68 percent of small businesses increased their social media marketing, which drove immediate results to their business.
- Companies that blog receive 55 percent more visitors to their website than those that don’t.
- 85 percent of social media users believe companies should interact with their customers.
